Arte, Identidad y Oficio en Cada Pieza / Art, Identity, and Craft in Every Piece

Soy Olga Engelmann.
I am Olga Engelmann. Visual artist, textile designer, and educator. I create unique, hand-printed pieces that converse with our memory, territory, and tradition.

Crear con las manos, pensar con el alma / Creating with my hands, thinking with my soul

I began screen printing at 19 and held my first solo exhibition at 23 at PUCP, marking the beginning of a teaching career.

My work bridges my Degree in Printmaking from PUCP with postgraduate studies in University Teaching (San Marcos) and a Master’s in Educational Neuropsychology (Universidad de Alcalá). My research focuses on national identity and the deep connection between education, fashion, art, and craftsmanship. Through collections and works inspired by ancestral elements like corn (maíz), I transform symbols of our memory into contemporary design. I am not interested in mass production; I seek the heartbeat of the handmade, the analog, and the unrepeatable

Piezas únicas que cruzan fronteras y barreras / Unique pieces that cross borders and barriers

Each textile design, print, and garment is a bridge between ancient heritage and the present. My work travels and connects with collectors, art lovers, and travelers in Cusco and New Mexico.
Teaching is my other great passion: empowering new generations of creators with technical rigor, sensitivity, and cultural awareness.
